This farmhouse table has been in our family for over 20 years. I have so many memories of our family sitting around this piece of furniture. When we moved, this table didn’t fit in our new space but i just couldn’t part with it so it became the desk in our office. Luckily, when we finished our lake house fixer upper, this sturdy table had a new home. Dan is not a carpenter and he did his best (which was amazing) but he did end up doing half the table and then starting completely over because he didn’t like the way it was lining up. With wax brush or old paintbrush (one that has splayed bristles), apply stained furniture wax to table, working wax into gouges and marks made in step one (image 1). Wipe excess wax away with clean, lint-free cloth. Buff wax by hand, in circular motion, until finish is smooth. Note: if finish feels sticky or tacky, too much wax was applied.
